Shelby Paul, MD

Dr. Shelby Paul is a board-certified Family Medicine physician passionate about delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients of all backgrounds. She values the breadth of family medicine, its focus on prevention, and the lasting relationships it fosters. After seeing the limitations of traditional fee-for-service care, she embraced the Direct Primary Care model to provide high-quality, patient-centered, personalized care. Dr. Paul earned her B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Trinity University, her M.D. from UTMB Galveston, and her MBA from UH Clearlake. She completed her Family Medicine residency at UT Health Science Center in Tyler, Texas, with additional training in Obesity Medicine, and has been recognized with multiple awards and leadership roles in organizations such as TAFP. Outside the clinic, Dr. Paul is active in her church and enjoys time with her husband, their goldendoodle, and their new baby daughter. She is excited to join Tailored MD and the Direct Primary Care movement, empowering patients to achieve better health through personal and thorough care.
