Throughout my years in private practice and in large hospital systems, it became evident that patients, just like physicians, felt frustrated with the crippled healthcare system and the arduous management of insurance companies. Personalized care took a backseat and patients began to feel like numbers, instead of individuals. Additionally, I was discouraged that I was not able to spend enough time with my patients and that I was being required to complete countless administrative tasks in an effort to keep the insurance companies happy rather than my patients. My disappointment led me to explore alternative options to provide better care. The obstacles my patients had to face, along with my drive as to why I became a physician in the first place, motivated me to open Our Family Doc. By offering a membership model, I can devote more time to my patients and their families, gaining a greater understanding of them as individuals. This means I am no longer forced to fit patients into limited time slots and surprise billings and insurance paperwork is no longer an issue. Think of it as bringing back old-fashioned medicine with a modern touch. As a physician, I value the relationship I develop with my patients and the time we spend together. I believe a strong relationship with the patient is fundamental to providing exceptional care. My philosophy of taking care of my patients has always been the same as the way I would want to be taken care of for myself and my family. I am looking forward to building a practice that puts my patients and their health as top priority. With everyday life getting more stressful and busy, taking care of our health should be stress free.
