Dr. Rebecca Faulkner continues the legacy of the clinic’s co-founder, Dr. Cary Fisher, as his daughter and a dedicated member of the Northwest Family Medicine team. Dr. Faulkner grew up in Tuttle, Oklahoma, and attended Oklahoma State University before earning her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1999. She completed her family medicine residency at Great Plains Family Practice and at MCV–VCU in Virginia. Early in her career, she practiced outside Washington, D.C., and later spent four years caring for patients in Sterling, Colorado. In 2007, Dr. Faulkner returned to Oklahoma to be closer to family after being diagnosed with breast cancer and joined Northwest Family Medicine in 2008. Her personal experiences have strengthened her passion for compassionate, patient-centered care. Dr. Faulkner is also active in the community and serves on the board of Leading Ladies for Healthy Babies, an organization working to reduce infant mortality in Oklahoma City. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, sport climbing, biking, vegan cooking, and reading.
