Margaret E. Henning (Maggie), is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of nursing experience and over sixteen years as a Practitioner. She earned her doctorate from Ohio University and her master’s and bachelors degree at Ursuline College. Dr. Henning possesses a wealth of experience in clinical, academic, and leadership roles across primary and walk-in care, neurology, emergency room, mother/baby care, and patient education. Since 2010, Dr. Henning has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Lake and Cuyahoga Counties, where she provides comprehensive care services, including diagnosis, treatment planning, initiating medication management to mitigate disease progression, preventive care, optimizing health, and patient and family education. She was instrumental in developing group sessions, participating in research, published and contributed to peer reviewed articles and a medical textbook, developed continuing education programs, presented nationally and locally at conferences, and educational presentations. She has also served on advisory boards for pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations. Dr. Henning has mentored, trained, and supervised newly hired providers, including Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs), Physician Assistants (PAs), neurology residents, and student nurse practitioners from multiple universities. She has held APRN leadership roles at both the state and national levels. In 2025, she was recognized nationally as the 2024 Paragon Award winner for CVS. Dr. Henning is passionate about collaborative care, optimizing personal health, population health, and improving access to high-quality, patient-centered care. Maggie was born and raised in Lake County and currently resides in Painesville Township with her better half, Joe. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her adult children and grandchildren, traveling, and caring for her gardens and animals.
