Dr. Maisha Pesante is a board-certified family physician and founder of Your Good Doctor who believes good healthcare starts with something surprisingly simple: having a doctor who actually knows you. Her approach combines conventional primary care with Functional Medicine, Greco-Medicine, Chinese Medicine, and holistic healing traditions. Instead of reducing your health to an annual physical or a set of lab results, she takes time to understand your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and the concerns that may have gone unanswered. For patients who are tired of rushed appointments, feeling shuffled between providers, or waiting until something gets worse to get help, Dr. Maisha offers a more personal approach. Through Direct Primary Care, you have an ongoing relationship with a physician who knows your story and can help you make sense of your health as it changes. She graduated in 2010 from UNC Chapel Hill's Family Medicine residency, and currently resides in North Carolina with her family. Outside of medicine, she enjoys writing, crocheting, and calligraphy and has a lifelong passion for learning, creativity, and serving her community. Her goal isn't simply to help you feel “not sick.” It's to give you the time, guidance, and personalized care you need to feel informed, supported, and more in control of your health.
