A Kentucky native and graduate of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Lori McCoy is a dedicated physician who is passionate about providing compassionate, personalized healthcare to patients of all ages. As a strong advocate for her patients, Dr. McCoy believes in building meaningful, lasting relationships and empowering individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being. She takes pride in helping patients achieve their personal healthcare, wellness, and aesthetic goals through a patient-centered approach that emphasizes trust, accessibility, and quality care. As Co-Founder and CEO of Advanced Primary Care, Dr. McCoy is committed to transforming the traditional healthcare experience by putting patients first. Her dedication to exceptional care and meaningful patient relationships contributed to Advanced Primary Care being recognized nationally as a “Hero of Healthcare” in 2019, an honor based on patient nominations. Beyond individual patient care, Dr. McCoy is passionate about helping employers explore innovative, cost-effective healthcare solutions. She encourages businesses to think beyond traditional health benefit models by embracing approaches that improve access to high-quality medical care while supporting healthier employees and more sustainable healthcare costs. Dr. McCoy is equally committed to serving her community. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Revitalize Russell and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Appalachian Commerce and Development Corporation (ACDC), both nonprofit organizations dedicated to strengthening communities and supporting economic development. Guided by her faith, Dr. McCoy embraces the belief that “With God, all things are possible.” This philosophy inspires her dedication to her patients, her community, and the continued growth of Advanced Primary Care. Outside of her professional and community commitments, Dr. McCoy enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and fly fishing.
