Jeff Newsom, MD

Dr. Newsom has special interests in musculoskeletal medicine, dermatology, and adolescent health, and brings a thoughtful, hands-on approach to each of his patient relationships Dr. Newsom earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. He worked with the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, spending time climbing mountains and traveling prior to graduating from the University of Vermont Medical School in 2007. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Maine Medical Center in Portland. Since relocating to the Belfast area in 2010, Dr. Newsom has been practicing at Seaport Community Health Center and MaineHealth in Belfast and Stockton Springs. He lives in Belmont with his wife and two teenage children. Outside of medicine, Dr. Newsom enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, paddling, climbing, gardening, and traveling.
