Dr. Hunt was born and raised in Houston. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University before attending medical school at the University of North Texas in Fort Worth. During residency interviews, she felt drawn to the Heartland and went on to complete her family medicine training at Via Christi in Wichita. After residency, she returned to Texas to be with her husband and start practicing, but together they felt led to return to Kansas and are excited to put down roots in the community. Dr. Hunt’s heart for family medicine stems from a lifelong passion to provide for the underserved as well as to care for those of all ages and backgrounds. She is especially enthusiastic about the direct primary care model, which she believes provides the most accessible, whole person care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Hunt enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her husband and newborn.
