George Alva is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) and the founder of Alva Family Practice in Odessa, Texas. With over 12 years of clinical experience—including extensive work in emergency room care—George brings unmatched skill, calmness in crisis, and genuine compassion to every patient interaction. His healthcare journey began at Odessa College, where he earned his Associate Degree in Nursing, followed by a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Nursing from Walden University. Throughout his career, George has treated a wide range of conditions—from urgent medical emergencies to long-term primary care—and has developed a special focus on mental health, a critical need in underserved West Texas communities. In addition to his clinical expertise, George has a powerful personal testimony. After experiencing a mysterious neurological illness that resembled Parkinson’s and ataxia—and receiving no clear answers through extensive testing—he was miraculously healed during a moment of prayer and divine encounter with the Holy Spirit. This experience transformed his life and deepened his calling: to serve, to heal, and to restore hope—through both medicine and faith. The clinic is open daily from 8 AM to 10 PM, with George personally seeing patients from 5 PM to 10 PM, serving those who can’t be seen during standard hours.
