Dr. Amabel Varghese is a family medicine physician at Primary Health Partners who cares for patients of all ages through education, prevention, and personalized, shared decision-making. She believes meaningful healthcare begins with listening, by taking time to understand each patient’s concerns, goals, lifestyle, and the factors affecting their overall well-being. Dr. Varghese is especially passionate about helping young adults build a foundation for lifelong health, supporting women through every stage of life, from PMS and perimenopause to post-menopause, as well as partnering with older adults to manage chronic conditions, maintain independence, and protect quality of life. Her approach is centered on helping patients understand the “why” behind their health concerns so they can feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in their care. A native of Oklahoma City, Dr. Varghese earned her medical degree from Atlantic University School of Medicine in 2017 and completed her Family and Preventive Medicine residency through the University of Oklahoma. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians, and the Worldwide Women’s Association. Before becoming a physician, Dr. Varghese served in the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard for seven years. That experience shaped her appreciation for service, teamwork, accountability, and clear communication, values she carries into her work with patients and colleagues each day.
